이태원 에어비엔비 게스트하우스 후기 (Native's Itaewon airbnb guesthouse review)

지난 주말에 친구들과 이태원에 위치한 게스트하우스에 다녀왔다. 

이태원은 정말 자주 가는 곳이었기 때문에, 전반적인 지리를 잘 알고 있다고 자부했다. 

지도 한번 슥 보고 대충 약속시간 1시간 반 전에 숙소에 짐을 놓고 장을 보러 합류하면 되겠구나 싶었다. 

우리가 예약한 숙소의 위치는 여기였다. 

Last weekend me and my friends visited guesthouse at Itaewon.

Itaewon is one of my favorite place in seoul. So I was confident about the lay of the land.  

Glance at a map and I found that I could be punctual at market appointment with friends if I arrive at Itaewon station 1 hour and a half earlier.

착각을 해도해도 한참 했다. 

이태원역에서 도깨비시장 한복판까지는 끝없는 오르막길만이 자리하고 있기 때문이다. 

한여름 한국에서 캐리어를 끌고 오르막길을 올라가야 한다니...

올라가다보니 나와 같은 신세의 외국인들이 자주 보였다. 

I was arrogant. 

Guesthouse was at the top of the city mountain. 

Shantytown hiking with a luggage in the middle of summer in South Korea...

While walking through, I could see bunch of foreigners at same situation. 

 

 

그나마 이런 길만 있으면 다행인데, 계단까지 군데군데 섞여 있는게 문제다. 

이런 곳에 있는 게스트하우스를 하룻밤에 60만원을 받아먹는다니 뭔가 단단히 잘못됐다. 

주변에 있는 다른 게스트하우스도 다 고만고만하다. 

내 집은 한달에 겨우 40만원인데...

I was not happy because there were so many stairs. (But picture above weren't.)

I cannot believe this guesthouse eats $500 at only one night. Something must going wrong. 

Places around are similar with the price. 

My house is only $350 at month...

 

 

허물어질것 같은 외관과는 다르게 첫인상은 나쁘지 않았다. 

내부는 깔끔했고, 더워 죽을 것 같은 와중에 에어컨이 시원하게 틀어져 있었기 때문이다. 

친구들도 입구 찾기를 어려워했는데, 중간 사진에 차고 입구처럼 생긴 space간판 아래에 있는 나무 문이 입구였다. 

Outside of the house is about to crumble, but my first impression of the house was good. 

Inside of it was clean and air conditioner was running. 

My friends also have difficulties finding an entrance. Wooden door at the middle of the picture above looks like garage, but this was the entrance. 

 

 

식기도 충분하고, 먼저 도착한 사람들끼리 하고 놀만한 보드게임도 비치되어있다. 

Very enough dishes and cups and boardgames.

 

 

이후엔 몹시 좋은 시간을 보냈다. 

나는 다음날 아침에 바로 가족여행을 떠나야 해서 일찍 게스트하우스를 나섰다. 

And great time with friends. 

I left the house early going family trip to Gyeongsangbuk-do. 

 

아침해 밑으로 보이는 아이파크 아파트까지 걸어가야 비로소 대중교통을 이용할 수 있다. 

그 전까지는 울퉁불퉁한 시멘트 길을 따라서 걸어야만 하니 참고가 되었으면 좋겠다. 

You can't use public transportation before walking to I'park apartment under the morning sun. 

The road to the I'park is steep cement road. I hope it will be helpful.
